Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil;live as servants of God.

-1Peter 2:16

I haven’t posted anything new in the last few weeks  because of  being busy but the last few days have inspired me to write.  I walked by a store today near my work and in the window a sign read, “Every Saint has a past, and every Sinner has a future!” That  made me very grateful to God. I lead chapel services at our town’s local city mission and the Lord blessed me with an awesome day. I’m in awe every time the Lord uses me to preach or teach.  But that’s what awesome about our God, no matter who you are or what we have done, he’s willing to forgive us and use us for his glory.

I started reading 1 Peter for my devotion time and 1 Peter 2:16 stayed with me. Jesus Christ didn’t just die so we can go to heaven one day, he died so we can live for God. No matter our past or the sins we have done. If we have trusted him as Savior than we are free. Not free to do whatever the hell we want to do, but free to live with and for Jesus. God’s grace to us should not make us abuse grace but should compel us to live for Him.

So, brothers and sisters, be grateful where Jesus has brought you from and those who are hearing the good news for the first time trust the future you can have  with Jesus. For, it’s a future with God.He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.-1Peter 2:24

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. -1Peter 3:18
